Ways to Recover FAT partition
Hard drive is divided into multiple partitions where each partition works as a separate drive. FAT is a windows file system which is used in computer as well as in memory cards. FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 are major versions FAT file system. FAT is located in master boot sector of a hard drive. It performs two significant functions; it provides allocation information of each file on the hard drive and indicates which location is empty to store new files which are created on your hard drives. FAT partitions are generally found on floppy disks, flash memory cards, digital cameras and even in external hard drives. If FAT partitions get deleted or corrupted or missed due to some common errors then you can recover FAT partition using good recovery software. Every computer has at least one internal hard drive, which is used to store operating system, data and applications. But now a day’s usage of internet continuously exposes computers to possible threats like Trojan horse, viruses, spywares. To avoid these problems you can use an external hard drive which is same as internal hard drive. External hard drives are located in different enclosure and attached to the computer using USB or fire-wire cable.
If partitions from external hard drive get deleted then you can recover those deleted partitions using partition recovery tool. Sometimes, when you’re trying to create new partitions using some third party partitioning utilities, your partition may get corrupted due to partitioning errors which leads to data loss. Installing multiple operating systems on a single hard drive may also lead to data loss. When creating new partition due to some partitioning errors your partition may get corrupted this may disable you to boot your operating system. Some errors may also occur while converting file system from FAT to NTFS (New Technology File System).
To avoid these problems, you’re supposed to create entire backup of your important data. Avoid forcing the computer to turn off by pressing and holding the power button. Don’t save any new files on your affected drives because if it is overwritten then it’s not possible to recover data from that partition. In this situation you need to use good recovery software.
Remo Recover (Windows) – Pro Edition software recovers your data from simple data loss conditions to complex data loss conditions. It supports all versions of FAT file system i.e., FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 to recover data. Even it also supports recovery of deleted or lost or corrupted NTFS partitions. It performs signature search to recognize all types of files like office files, audio, video, images and other important files based on their unique signature. Suppose if your drive has bad sectors and is not able to access data stored on that drive then Remo Recover (Windows) software creates disk images to bypass those bad sectors. Disk image creates copy of your hard drive sector-by-sector and saves as a single file. Later on you can recover your deleted or lost data from these disk images. You can download and try the free demo version of Remo Software and evaluate the recovery results. Once you are satisfied with the recovery results of the software you can purchase the complete version and save the recovered data.
